The works in this series were created for the Yogurt Culture challenge (proposed by Boris Novak) to create a work/works of art for the theme "Yogurt Culture". The idea was inspired by a joke made by Louise Pirrotta about yogurt being the only culture in her home area.
* Louise Pirotta's original joke: "I live in an extremely rural secluded area of upstate NY, pretty much cut off from the rest of the world. They say here if you want culture you have to buy yogurt."
James H Loving
James is an internationally published, award-winning photographer based in Richmond, Virginia. He built his reputation and initial portfolio on action sports photography and has worked with youth, collegiate, and professional leagues. His action sports work has been featured in the USL, EPL, NBC Sports, and the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
Over the past few years, his lens has been primarily focused on travel, tourism, commercial, and portrait and headshot work. Not everything translates into a beautiful image with a traditional aesthetic – and James doesn’t shy away from those shots. Sometimes a unique perspective or detail creates a more powerful picture. Those are the photos that are worth waiting to capture.
Zoltán André: Shrouded in Mist
The Liberty Bridge and the University of Economics on a foggy day: The Liberty Bridge connects Buda and Pest across the River Danube. Liberty Bridge was built between 1894 and 1896 and originally named after the Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria, who personally opened the bridge by hammering the last silver rivet on the Pest abutment. The bridge imitates the general outline of a chain-type bridge, which was considered an aesthetically preferable form at the time of its construction. (source)
